From Manchester to Johor Bahru
I nearly let down more than 200 entrepreneurs who were waiting for me in Johor Bahru.
Last Friday, 17 July 2026, I had the chance to complete my Global MBA at Alliance Manchester Business School, The University of Manchester. Alhamdulillah… another milestone in a journey where I have always believed that an entrepreneur and a leader can never stop learning.
Alhamdulillah, what they achieved this year is truly something to be proud of. Many Titan entrepreneurs broke their own companies’ sales records. Some are now doing around RM7 million a month, and a few are getting close to RM10 million a month. Not long ago, even RM1 million a month felt impossible to reach.
One of the proudest moments at this ICM was when RichWorks Consulting Group (RCG) recognised eight Titan entrepreneurs who, in the first six months of 2026, had already sold more than they did in the whole of 2025. That is what happens when an entrepreneur never stops learning, keeps getting coached and keeps improving.
But I also reminded them… success today does not guarantee success tomorrow. The reality is the economy is still uncertain. Operating costs keep rising. Consumer behaviour is changing fast. Technology, especially AI, is reshaping business faster than we ever imagined. The strategy that worked yesterday may not be enough for tomorrow’s challenges.
That is why I did not want to miss this ICM. My responsibility is not just to celebrate their wins, but to make sure every entrepreneur is truly ready to jump higher for the rest of 2026 and the years after.
This ICM was also made special by the presence of Pak Hermawan Kartajaya, Founder & Chairman of MarkPlus Corp Indonesia and MCorp, and co-author with the world’s marketing legend, Professor Philip Kotler. He shared his views on the future of marketing, business transformation and how entrepreneurs need to change to stay relevant.
We were also honoured to have Josiah Ng, a legend of Malaysian cycling, Commonwealth Games gold medallist and an athlete who represented Malaysia at three Olympic Games. His journey reminded us that world-class success is not built in a day, but through discipline, resilience and consistency over many years.
It meant even more when Astro Awani came to cover the event and interview me about the challenges PMKS entrepreneurs are facing, why mentoring matters, and how local entrepreneurs must keep being strengthened so they can contribute to the national economy.
Throughout the journey from Manchester to Abu Dhabi, then Kuala Lumpur and finally Johor Bahru, one thing kept coming to mind.
Being a leader is not about showing up when everything is easy. It is about showing up when people are counting on us.
Because when entrepreneurs grow, they don’t just build bigger companies. They open up more jobs, strengthen local supply chains, help communities and contribute to the country’s economy.
Our mission is not just to build successful companies. Our mission is to build more entrepreneurs who can build Malaysia’s future.
Never stop learning. Never stop leading.
