How Big Is Your Vision?

HOW BIG IS YOUR VISION?

Every business begins with a vision. But not every vision is big enough to create an extraordinary business. Over the past 18 years of working with thousands of entrepreneurs, I’ve realised something. Most businesses don’t stay small because of a lack of opportunity. They stay small because the founder’s vision is too small.

If your vision is to survive another month, you’ll make decisions that help you survive another month. If your vision is to build a RM1 million business, you’ll make decisions that can get you there. But if your vision is to build a RM100 million company, create thousands of jobs, expand internationally, and leave a lasting legacy, everything changes.

The way you think changes. The standards you set become higher. The people you hire become different. The systems you build become stronger. The risks you’re willing to take become more calculated. The leader you choose to become is no longer the same.

Your business will rarely grow beyond the future you can clearly imagine. Every major company that exists today was once nothing more than a vision in someone’s mind. The difference was that they refused to let their current reality define the size of their future.

Your vision determines the size of your decisions. Your decisions determine the quality of your actions. Your actions determine your results.

That’s why I always encourage entrepreneurs to stop asking, “How can I grow my business?” Start asking, “Is my vision big enough to deserve the business I want to build?”

Because in the end, the size of your vision becomes the limit of your success.
