Habib arrived on Friday. These past few days I have been bringing him around and accompanying him to a few Majlis Selawat. I know I am definitely going to miss these precious moments.
Yesterday I was given a very special opportunity — to drive Habib myself from Melaka to Shah Alam. The whole way there, I listened to his stories of spending time with the alim ulama and the orang-orang soleh, including his time with Abah Guru Sekumpul when he was still alive.
Alhamdulillah. Not only did I get to hear so many stories and so much advice, I also received a few amalan from Habib and had the chance to record some selawat with him. Moments that money simply cannot buy.
The night before, I brought Habib to Majlis Melaka Berselawat, together with more than 15,000 people. Last night we continued on to Bangi for Darul Ehsan Berselawat. Watching thousands of hearts gather in one place, praising Allah SWT and sending selawat upon Rasulullah SAW together with Habib — that is an experience words cannot really carry.
Sometimes Allah SWT brings someone into our lives for only a short while. But the effect and the feeling they leave behind can stay with us for a very long time.
Thank you, Habib, for your time, your advice, your amalan and your love. May Allah SWT protect Habib, grant him health and a long life full of barakah, and continue to make Habib the reason millions of hearts grow to love Rasulullah SAW.
Until we meet again, Habib. I am truly going to miss you.
