Assalammualaikum wbt & greetings to all you entrepreneurs,

Datuk Wira Dr Azizan Osman here. Today I want to share something interesting from the Bina SME programme in KL recently — about the “wrong ideas” entrepreneurs carry.

Many SME owners I meet have the wrong idea about what’s actually wrong with their business. Take one physiotherapy centre owner in KL. He thought his business wasn’t growing because he didn’t have enough staff. But after we sat down and talked it through, the real problem was that he got his costing wrong and priced too low. End result, he was actually losing money!

Another interesting case was an English tuition centre owner in Ipoh. She felt she couldn’t push sales any higher. But the real issue was her business model — it just wasn’t built to grow.

This is why it matters so much to identify the real root cause of your business problem. Don’t jump to conclusions. Sometimes what we assume is the main problem isn’t the real cause at all!

If you’re an SME owner who wants to know more about how to handle these challenges, come meet me at the next Bina SME programme!

I’ll be sharing more tips and strategies to help your business grow.

Also, don’t forget to grab my free eBook: “9 Reasons Entrepreneurs Never Reach RM10 Million A Year In Sales Or More” at BinaSME.com. It’s packed with practical guidance for SME owners.

My final point — remember that business success isn’t just about working ‘hard’. It’s also about working ‘smart’ and understanding your business inside out. Let’s build stronger, more successful SMEs together!

Share this article with your entrepreneur friends, okay. Hopefully it helps more SME owners succeed.

Alhamdulillah, KL on 8 October and Johor on 10 October (today) went smoothly. See you — serious, committed entrepreneurs who want to grow your business to the next level — at Bina SME in 4 more locations:
