But What Still Flows After We Are Gone.
The longer I coach entrepreneurs, the more I realise there is one question we rarely stop to think about while we are building a business.
When Allah SWT expands our rezeki, who else will feel the benefit of that rezeki?
Many people work hard to grow their company. There is nothing wrong with that. But as the journey gets longer, I become more and more convinced that real success is not measured by sales figures, profit, or the assets we manage to accumulate. Success is also measured by how far the rezeki Allah SWT entrusts to us can benefit other people.
That is why I always remind my students to give sedekah, to make giving a culture. Don’t wait until you are very rich before you give. Learn to give while you are still building, because a heart that shares sincerely will always be prepared by Allah SWT to carry a bigger amanah.

Alhamdulillah, this morning three of my students — Najib Assadok (Momentum Iyziq), and Datuk Wira Ilaiaraja together with his wife Datin Wira Sumitra (Nuetraa) — infaq two buggies for the use of visitors at Akademi Ilmi.
They handed over two electric buggies to Akademi Ilmi in Sungai Petani, a centre of knowledge founded by Ustaz Wadi Anuar.
Every week, thousands of people come there to seek knowledge. There are senior citizens, parents bringing their children, and some who travel from far just because they are thirsty for beneficial knowledge. To some people, a buggy is just a vehicle.
But for those who have to walk far from the parking area to the madrasah, it carries a meaning that is far bigger.
It makes their steps to a majlis ilmu easier. It reduces the difficulty for those who are frail.
And insha-Allah, every time that buggy moves to carry someone towards a majlis ilmu, may the pahala keep flowing to those who chose to share their rezeki.
Isn’t that one of the best investments an entrepreneur can make?
Allah SWT Himself says in Surah al-Baqarah, verses 261 to 262, that those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah are like a single seed that grows seven ears, and every ear holds a hundred grains. Allah SWT multiplies the reward for whoever He wills, while those who give sincerely without bringing up their giving are promised their reward with Him, with no fear and no grief.
This verse always reminds me that barakah cannot be measured by numbers alone. There is rezeki that Allah SWT multiplies through peace of heart, good health, a good family, a loyal team, and the opportunity to keep giving benefit to more and more people.
I also want to congratulate the Founder & Executive Director of Go Auto, @Wan Ahmad Wan Omar, and his entire team who co-organised this event. Not only have they succeeded in building a facility to produce commercial vehicles and buggies in Gurun, Kedah, they are now expanding their production capacity to meet demand from the local and international markets.
What is even more encouraging, the buggies contributed today are products made by local people, developed for the export market to the United States. My doa is that Wan Ahmad’s efforts and his whole team continue to be made easy by Allah SWT, be blessed in every matter, and become the cause for more job opportunities, growth for our country’s industry, and lasting benefit for the community.
I always believe that an entrepreneur is not only trusted to build a successful company.
Bigger than that, we are trusted to build a life that gives benefit to other people.
Because in the end, the wealth we gather will be left behind, but every benefit that comes out of the wealth we infaq will keep becoming supply that accompanies our journey before Allah SWT.
May Allah SWT accept the amal jariah of every contributor, bless Akademi Ilmi, expand its benefit to the ummah, and grant all of us a heart that is always light to give whenever we are given rezeki.
